Michelle Wie, 17, appeared at the Roger Dunn Golf Shop, promoting Nike apparel while offering driving and putting demonstrations to fans.
There was even a miniature modeling ramp as a model for her to do a fashion show.
"It's the first time I've done anything like this, and so far everyone's been treating me really nicely, and it's been a fun day," Wie said.
If there was any pain left from a nagging wrist injury, she didn't show it while she cranked some drives and offered golf tips, reporters say.
Judging by the shredded black canvas that absorbed her thunderous drives at point-blank range, Michelle Wie's comeback effort is in full swing.
"Yeah, I've never hit a shot in a pro shop before, but I guess you can tee off anywhere," Michelle said with a laugh. "But it's a lot of fun. It's different; it's not like any day playing on the golf course. Not a lot of people will see me hit a ball in a pro shop."
She'll be back on a golf course on May 31, as she's previously scheduled the LPGA's Ginn Tribute in South Carolina as her comeback event.
For fans closer to home, Wie will also host a similar demonstration today at 1 p.m. at NikeTown in Waikiki, along with PGA club professionals Ed Kageyama and Scott Bridges.
One thing she would reflect on was her last day of school as a Punahou senior, on Friday. But she will miss the upcoming Buffanblu graduation ceremony.
"I'm done with high school," Wie said with a laugh. "I'm so over it. But I went to prom. Prom was a lot of fun. After school yesterday it was very emotional, and stuff like that. They made me a slide show, all the memories we had together, that was really sweet."

Uma Thurman, a substantian model and simply an exquisite looking woman
Uma Thurman is best known for her role as Mia Wallace in the 1994 international hit Pulp Fiction. Armed with a black wig and a script blessed with originality, Uma gave a stunning performance. Her character, a person who apparently likes to stick her nose where it didn't belong, both dazzled and shocked the audience. The overwhelming success of the critically-acclaimed film gave a shot of adrenaline to her career and garnered an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. The next few years saw her working mostly on small-budget art house films except for her appearance as Poison Ivy in Batman and Robin. Uma's perfect face has also reached a new-level of ubiquity thanks to her contract with cosmetics giant Lancфme. In 2003, with the release of the much anticipated Kill Bill, Quentin Tarantino's muse is once again at the center of attention, this time as a former assassin bent on revenge.
Few people remember that Thurman began her career as a fashion model at the age of 15. She signed with the agency Click Models. Uma followed in the footsteps of her mother, who was also a fashion model. Standing almost six feet tall with a naturally lanky frame, Thurman was an immediate success, and her modeling credits included Glamour Magazine. In 1989, she appeared on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine, for the annual “Hot issue”.
In the film she played a New Jersey woman in the 1980s searching for romance. The San Francisco Chronicle review wrote, “Thurman so commits herself to the role, eyes blazing and body akimbo, that you start to believe that such a creature could exist — an exquisite looking woman so spastic and needy that she repulses regular Joes. Thurman has bent the role to her will”.
It is interesyed to note that though Thurman was raised a Buddhist and still identifies with Buddhism, she considers herself agnostic.
